Unique is Beautiful

I just read something on facebook on “Unique is Beautiful” and I realized this means so much to me. In my family we are all unique. Unique in looks, unique in the things we have accomplished and unique in who we are. We are different but we are also bonded together by love. Many people believe you only have 1 soul mate in life… I have 3. I have 3 sisters who know everything about me. I have 3 sisters who will do anything for me and I have 3 sisters who will love me unconditionally. They will accept my flaws, they will accept my hiccups and they will not criticize me. This is why when I saw that quote I instantly thought of them. So here is a picture of me (second to the left) with my sisters on my Brother’s wedding day. We wore his favorite colour and we were inseparable that night.

To all you people who have a special sibling in your life, or have experience that bond with a loved one, feel blessed and privileged to have experienced it in this life time.

My Version of Fall.

I have been seeing on other blogs beautiful pictures of the ever changing and eye stimulating Fall season. Honestly living in Trinidad limits your experiences of the changing seasons and seeing how spring turns to summer to fall and then winter. All I have is endless summer greenery. All I have is the constant warm weather and lush green rain forests.

So I have been living vicariously through other blog admiring the Fall pictures and sometimes questioning if it is really true. Then I had a beautiful sunny day yesterday and got to spend the day just lying on a beach and soaking in the sun. So I decided to give you all my version of Fall. And see what we get during the Fall Season.

Enjoy.

I visited a beach house in Blanchisseuse Beach and it was attached to 3 different bays. It was fun just splashing in the waves, and fun exploring each bay in the warming sun.

This was a bird's eye view of the bay that had clear green water and little watery caves to hide under. My son really liked…

Hate is a strong word.

When you live on a small island like I do in Trinidad, you really do not want to be too outspoken about terrible things happening to someone you know, because it is almost as if you are talking about it happening in your own backyard. But the fact is, terrible things do happen and unfortunately it sometimes happen to people you know or people who you cannot ignore.

In the last month there was a unforgettable incident of a little girl being attacked and physically taken advantage of ... and this rocked out entire community. Mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, granddaughters and friends were really disturbed about the attack... because you do feel as if it has happened in your back yard! For a few weeks no one felt safe in their own homes and everyone was whispering about the ever changing rumors of the whereabouts of a man, who manage to physically hurt 1 and mentally hurt 100s.

In my heart I do feel sorry for the young girl and pray that through God, family and friends she can be a su…
