What do you do when you hear that little whisper - commenting from a post by First Comes Love.

Hey I was just reading a Post from First Comes Love - A woman's Call to love God, Husband, Children (http://meghancarver.blogspot.com/) about listening to the little whispers and it got me thinking. Although I did reply to her post I thought there was so much more for me to share. You see when I thought of listening to the little whispers I immediately thought of when my sister told me my son was not sleeping well. I was an island away from him, taking a little vaca from the kids with my husband when my sister called and told me Dylan was not sleeping well. "What do you mean he is not sleeping well?" "He is just now sleeping sound," she explained and I instantly thought that Dylan had always been a restless sleeper so I should not really be too bothered. But then again there was something in her voice that nagged me. There was a deeper concern that was not necessary if it was just a few restless tumbles, teeth grinding and sleep babbling that I was accustom

Road Map of Life Link Up from Renee's Joy Journey

Funny how when asked where do you see yourself in 5 years I usually do not have an immediate answer. 5 Years ago it would have been get a degree, have my second child and get a teaching job. Lucky enough ... so said so done. I was fortunate to acquire a Degree in Literature, have my second child (blessed baby girl) and got a teaching job in a private school that my husband originally went to. So how set with Renee's challenge I have to ask myself that question again. Where do I see myself in 5 years???? Short Term Goals would be this summer holiday planned at the end of the month. I am taking my son to Universal Studios. Personally he started getting night seizures at the beginning of the year, and seeing what we both went through we both need a little break. I am also hoping to have a family outing with the husband and 2 kids, but that will probably be Down the Islands (Trinidad).    Another one of my short term goals is to repaint my home and probably get some floor boa

Love/Hate link up with Beautiul Life.

It is amazing with the Summer finally here and school out I would get a chance to relax and just get some me time... nope... well here goes I love getting a break from teaching and not having to get up at some ungodly hour in the morning to get to school... I hate getting the cold as soon as school ends and I have to feel all miserable and moody :(   I love having the kids home and doing fun activities for them to enjoy their Summer days... I hate when it rains and we are stuck indoors waiting for it to stop. I love going to the movies to watch Spiderman with my husband... I hate getting the corner seats and you now have to sit with your neck twisted the entire time. It was still good. Link up with Noel at Beautiful Life and share your love/hate thoughts. Its fun and a good laugh.

Time to dance.

With the summer holiday here all I find myself doing a lot of dancing with my little girl. Every time she hears a song she instantly starts to move. I love how freely she moves, not caring what anyone thinks or who is looking. Her free spirit is invigorating and addictive as I too start to move. There are a few songs that she knows the words to and when they come along I hear her voice (no matter what part of the house she is in) screaming out. The most precious moment is when we are dancing and she asks to be lifted into my arms.... "Uppieee Mommieeee" My hearts melt. I pick her up and hold her tight to me chest. We sway to the music and as I dip her from one side to the next her laughter peels out and fills my heart with happiness. Her laugh can make my day. Her laugh can remove all tension from my shoulders. Her laugh is contagious and warming. Take time to laugh and enjoy life... summer means good times... good laughs .... good food and good fun. So far I h

Wordless Wednesday - Lunch time

This was a dream come true for Dylan. He was not afraid and did not shudder when the slimy tongue touched his hand.

The Box Recycle

It is amazing what you mean to me.... When a present comes in a box, you are all they see. It's not what's inside that claim their interest... It's what protected it, the toy they completely miss. The box is a doorway for many to explore, It's a ship they travel in to a distant shore. It's the body of a robot that they strut around all day, It's something that allows them to just play.  I love the many dreams a box create, It gives my children ideas both small and great. One day it will just be a box to them. but for now they can play with it .... even with a friend.
