Road Map of Life Link Up from Renee's Joy Journey

Funny how when asked where do you see yourself in 5 years I usually do not have an immediate answer. 5 Years ago it would have been get a degree, have my second child and get a teaching job. Lucky enough ... so said so done. I was fortunate to acquire a Degree in Literature, have my second child (blessed baby girl) and got a teaching job in a private school that my husband originally went to. So how set with Renee's challenge I have to ask myself that question again.

Where do I see myself in 5 years????

Short Term Goals would be this summer holiday planned at the end of the month. I am taking my son to Universal Studios. Personally he started getting night seizures at the beginning of the year, and seeing what we both went through we both need a little break. I am also hoping to have a family outing with the husband and 2 kids, but that will probably be Down the Islands (Trinidad).
Another one of my short term goals is to repaint my home and probably get some floor boards down on the lower level of the house. Plus start preparing for Christmas. With over 40 presents to purchase I tend to start from the September month.

Long Term Goals would be to get my Masters in Education which will take about 2 years of studies. This is something I really want to do for myself. Also I would love to get one of my books published. This is something I have to put in the forefront to achieve.

Another long term goal is to (please God) have my son complete the medication he is taking for his night seizures and hope that the treatment was effective enough to stop it.

Most importantly I hope to appreciate and enjoy life.
I hope not to take life and love for granted and respect all those who come into my life.
I hope that whoever I meet I give them good vibrations and a positive outlook.
I hope to laugh a lot, cry a little and keep those most precious to me close.

My Version of Fall.

I have been seeing on other blogs beautiful pictures of the ever changing and eye stimulating Fall season. Honestly living in Trinidad limits your experiences of the changing seasons and seeing how spring turns to summer to fall and then winter. All I have is endless summer greenery. All I have is the constant warm weather and lush green rain forests.

So I have been living vicariously through other blog admiring the Fall pictures and sometimes questioning if it is really true. Then I had a beautiful sunny day yesterday and got to spend the day just lying on a beach and soaking in the sun. So I decided to give you all my version of Fall. And see what we get during the Fall Season.

I visited a beach house in Blanchisseuse Beach and it was attached to 3 different bays. It was fun just splashing in the waves, and fun exploring each bay in the warming sun.

This was a bird's eye view of the bay that had clear green water and little watery caves to hide under. My son really liked…

Hate is a strong word.

When you live on a small island like I do in Trinidad, you really do not want to be too outspoken about terrible things happening to someone you know, because it is almost as if you are talking about it happening in your own backyard. But the fact is, terrible things do happen and unfortunately it sometimes happen to people you know or people who you cannot ignore.

In the last month there was a unforgettable incident of a little girl being attacked and physically taken advantage of ... and this rocked out entire community. Mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, granddaughters and friends were really disturbed about the attack... because you do feel as if it has happened in your back yard! For a few weeks no one felt safe in their own homes and everyone was whispering about the ever changing rumors of the whereabouts of a man, who manage to physically hurt 1 and mentally hurt 100s.

In my heart I do feel sorry for the young girl and pray that through God, family and friends she can be a su…
