Puzzle Me Complete ... Believer, Mother, Teacher, Writer.

Kids say the earnest things!!!! The other day my daughter wanted a shack and asked for a "cumber". (English translation... cucumber). So knowing she could actually say the right word I decided to play dumb and asked... "Sydney what is a cumber??" Sydney only took a few seconds before she reached up to me... crabbed my face and state... "Mommy listen to me!" "Look at my mouth...  I say CU-CUM-BER!!!!" Well lets just say I fell off the couch laughing. It is these little nuggets of joy that makes everything worth it. Kids really have the ability to lighten the room and your heart with a simple smile or quirky expression. I love hearing her laugh and I love seeing her enjoy life. They really are gifts from God and we must treasure them.

... The Caribbean Life - where I took my kids Down the Islands and they had a glorious time splaying in the cool water and having a great time exploring the island. ... Burger Patties and Hot Pockets - which my kids ate to their hearts content. After swimming all day they are ravenous and ate anything I placed in front of them... but it was easy to prepare. ... Music - that has the ability to fill and lighten a room. Plus my daughter loves music and tries to sing every song. Her favorite is Jar of Hearts. ... The Toddler Vest I used when Sydney was swimming.... after last week's incident, this was a God Sent. She really enjoyed the freedom on swimming freely and I was not over consumed with fear that she was going to sink. ... The day when my husband finally realizes that there are times when you can put down the club and spend a little time with the kids .... he was the only important thing missing on this trip. He came down for a day... I just wished he came for the ...

Funny enough I had another 'listen to your inner voice' this weekend and again I am grateful I did. The weather down here has been feeling like a sauna so I got the opportunity to take the kids to a pool at a friend's house. You just never know how something so innocent or normal could possible turn into a life changing event. You see my daughter loves the water. I really think she is a water baby because you cannot keep her away if there is a body of water nearby. The other thing is once she sets her mind on something she is very determined to follow through. So while all the kids were inside getting their sunblock on... my daughter decided to take a little stroll by herself to the pool. I on the other hand was just about to take a bathroom break and gave a quick glance around the room before closing in. Then I paused. In my glance around I could not recall seeing a little person in a pink princess bath suit. I could not recall seeing Sydney. So I stepped out and asked...

This weekend I really felt as if I lived for my kids. I had 2 eventful days and now I feel as if I need a break from the weekend. Its not that I had a great time taking ten around and seeing them having a great time. But the amount of time spent getting them ready, packing a bag, packing snacks, piling them into the car, taking care of them, making sure they ate... making sure they were hydrated... making sure you 2 year did not fall to sleep... making sure they had fun... completely pooped me out!!!! My kids had a great weekend... but I do not know if I can do this every time at the same pace. I literally had to drag myself out of bed for work and drink coke to get me going. Most challenging is being a teacher and maintaining the same energy (which I do not have... or what little I do have is depleting fast) throughout the day. So basically all I want is to get home and spend some needed quality time with my bed. I want to snuggle into my warm bed, dive under the thick smooth ...

In life there will alway be events, experiences and people who challenge and hurt you more than you show. In life there will be times when you feel completely alone. In life you something think there is nothing to look forward to.... but there is. There is always something better and you must believe you deserve it. Do not give up on yourself. Do not surround yourself with people who bring you pain. Do not give others the power to damage your precious life. Your life is precious. Believe in yourself and you will survive.
