Know Thyself and Believe in Yourself.

Recently I have been experiencing what I can only call BLESSINGS.

When I take a look back at my life 2 to 3 years ago, alot of changes occurred. Back then I was hurting, the tears were flowing, and I could not see the light. Back then I did not think I was ready for change, but now I understand why everything happened. It was for a better tomorrow.

I am not the same person I was 3 years ago. Yes I look the same, and love my family and children the same, but I have lived,
                                    loved,
                                             lost,
                                                   learnt and love again

Change was the hardest part and though I usually shy away from it, when confronted by it, I face it head on!!!!

The best part was finally realizing and experiencing a couple of my personal dreams and goals. For those who know me, especially my siblings, know I always wanted to teach children. Even when I was living a year in London I had my aunt register for me in the Ministry of Education because I knew it was what I wanted to do. And though I have been lucky enough to teach computers to the entire school, recently I have been given the opportunity to teach a class.

Though this change was something I did not expect,
Though this change came as a shock,
Though this change will bring new challenges.... I ACCEPT!!

On the verge of receiving my Masters in Education, and gaining great insight about teaching from my lecturers, class colleagues and professional peers... I know I am ready.

It is happening at the right time. "The planets are aligned," and all I can say is that I believe this is a good thing.

I believe in myself.
I will seize this day.
I will do what I love.

I am grateful to all who have supported me and helped me realise this professional goal. I am grateful to those who understand that, though my journey to get here was long, they believed I could do it.

THANK YOU and believe me when I say, when something is right for you... trust it was meant to be and make it your own.

SEIZE the DAY!!!!

My Version of Fall.

I have been seeing on other blogs beautiful pictures of the ever changing and eye stimulating Fall season. Honestly living in Trinidad limits your experiences of the changing seasons and seeing how spring turns to summer to fall and then winter. All I have is endless summer greenery. All I have is the constant warm weather and lush green rain forests. So I have been living vicariously through other blog admiring the Fall pictures and sometimes questioning if it is really true. Then I had a beautiful sunny day yesterday and got to spend the day just lying on a beach and soaking in the sun. So I decided to give you all my version of Fall. And see what we get during the Fall Season. Enjoy.  I visited a beach house in Blanchisseuse Beach and it was attached to 3 different bays. It was fun just splashing in the waves, and fun exploring each bay in the warming sun. This was a bird's eye view of the bay that had clear green water and little watery caves to hide under. WW ... Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2

I went .... I saw .... I conquered :) Monday Evening: "Honey can you watch the kids tonight ... there is something VERY important I have to do?" "Sure Jill but what is it??" "You don't worry about that .... I will just be home around 7pm tonight!" It was FANTASTIC ... and the perfect end. Stephanie Meyer did an excellent job producing it. I will love this movie....

Guardian Angel working Overtime!!

Saturday morning this occurred while I was on my way with the kids to my family's home in San Fernando. My car is the Blue Madza and my kids were in the back seat!! I had just stopped at a traffic light with 4 cars ahead of me, waiting for the lights to turn green, when the Green car smashed into me from behind.  All I can say is that we were all frightened by a loud bang from behind, and just as I turned my head to look at my kids in the back, I saw my car skidding on the wet road heading towards the car infront of me. There was no stopping and unfortunately my car struck the car infront of me :( From that point on there was alot of screaming from the kid behind, me trying to calm them, and me trying to get my husband on the phone. Even today I still cannot believe it happened. Clearly the woman who struck me from behind did not see me stopping along with the other cars, clearly she was distracted doing something else than focusing on the road. ...
