Moving Forward... Dragon Boyz is available on eBook!

This year so far has been an adventure and I must say I am enjoying the ride.

It is not easy...
There have been some stretches where I cruised comfortably,
And there have been some unforeseen potholes and bumps along the way...

but I have not let that slowed me down.

My most recent adventure was experiencing my first School Visit and Book Reading at a local school. Not only was I able to share Dragon Boyz with some very excited students, I also contributed one of my books as a prize for a Literary competition the school is having during the April-May month.

Fortunately,  am I presenting at their award ceremony, and I am happy to encourage reading and writing for children for all ages.

I must confess I think the most challenging thing for me is breaking into the local market. As much as I know children will enjoy reading Dragon Boyz, making it accessible is key. Therefore, apart from being available on paperback on popular sites like Amazon and Barnes and Noble, I am also promoting Dragon Boyz eBook version.

I think it is fantastic there is a electronic version so it can be easily downloaded to children's kindle, ipad, smartphone and android.

I hope everyone enjoys reading Dragon Boyz... it is a book which, from my son Dylan's imagination, I was able to create a fantasy about dragons, werewolves/wolfmen, magical fire powers, and above all... it is a book based on friendship.

My Version of Fall.

I have been seeing on other blogs beautiful pictures of the ever changing and eye stimulating Fall season. Honestly living in Trinidad limits your experiences of the changing seasons and seeing how spring turns to summer to fall and then winter. All I have is endless summer greenery. All I have is the constant warm weather and lush green rain forests.

So I have been living vicariously through other blog admiring the Fall pictures and sometimes questioning if it is really true. Then I had a beautiful sunny day yesterday and got to spend the day just lying on a beach and soaking in the sun. So I decided to give you all my version of Fall. And see what we get during the Fall Season.

I visited a beach house in Blanchisseuse Beach and it was attached to 3 different bays. It was fun just splashing in the waves, and fun exploring each bay in the warming sun.

This was a bird's eye view of the bay that had clear green water and little watery caves to hide under. My son really liked…

Hate is a strong word.

When you live on a small island like I do in Trinidad, you really do not want to be too outspoken about terrible things happening to someone you know, because it is almost as if you are talking about it happening in your own backyard. But the fact is, terrible things do happen and unfortunately it sometimes happen to people you know or people who you cannot ignore.

In the last month there was a unforgettable incident of a little girl being attacked and physically taken advantage of ... and this rocked out entire community. Mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, granddaughters and friends were really disturbed about the attack... because you do feel as if it has happened in your back yard! For a few weeks no one felt safe in their own homes and everyone was whispering about the ever changing rumors of the whereabouts of a man, who manage to physically hurt 1 and mentally hurt 100s.

In my heart I do feel sorry for the young girl and pray that through God, family and friends she can be a su…
