T’was the night of Halloween and all through the street, Ghouls and goblins were steering, frightening all they meet. Spider webs were hung above every door, Pumpkin heads were carved, the scariest you ever saw. The children were dressed in their favorite costume, Behaving their best, at least their parents assume. All through he night they are seen running about. “Please give me Candy!” they eagerly shout out. “Trick or treat” is what you constantly here, From a distance they can be heard, and then they are near. Knocking at your door they excitedly await to see, Exactly how many candies they get… maybe more than three. The moon shines bright and ghost hover around, Beetles and spiders are seen crawling in the ground. A scary scarecrow lurks at every path, If you are not careful, they might sneaky a stinky fart. Trough the haunted house the kids eagerly enter, They do not know what is in store as they reach to the centre. F...

I have been seeing on other blogs beautiful pictures of the ever changing and eye stimulating Fall season. Honestly living in Trinidad limits your experiences of the changing seasons and seeing how spring turns to summer to fall and then winter. All I have is endless summer greenery. All I have is the constant warm weather and lush green rain forests. So I have been living vicariously through other blog admiring the Fall pictures and sometimes questioning if it is really true. Then I had a beautiful sunny day yesterday and got to spend the day just lying on a beach and soaking in the sun. So I decided to give you all my version of Fall. When you live on a small island like I do in Trinidad, you really do not want to be too outspoken about terrible things happening to someone you know, because it is almost as if you are talking about it happening in your own backyard. But the fact is, terrible things do happen and unfortunately it sometimes happen to people you know or people who you cannot ignore. In the last month there was a unforgettable incident of a little girl being attacked and physically taken advantage of ... and this rocked out entire community. Mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, granddaughters and friends were really disturbed about the attack... because you do feel as if it has happened in your back yard! For a few weeks no one felt safe in their own homes and everyone was whispering about the ever changing rumors of the whereabouts of a man, who manage to physically hurt 1 and mentally hurt 100s. In my heart I do feel sorry for the young girl and pray that through God, family and friends she can be a...

As a computer Teacher these are a few Halloween Posters I got the students to create. I hop you enjoy reading their poems.  This last photo is  a wall that was decorated in the school for the students to see. 

I saw this on Facebook this morning and it really had me thinking. I have an aunt who is really sick and what I remember of her most is her Pastelles at Christmas time. I have another aunt who is also ill and what I remember most about her is her lively spirit and creative nature. She always encouraged me to paint as a little girl. My father passed away in 2000 and what I remember most (apart from his smoking and drinking) is that he had the most beautiful red smooth skin I ever saw. And when it was kissed my the sun it looked golden. He also loved the beach and would take us there often. He was a  responsible guy who was very protective of his 4 girls. As for me, I wonder what my kids would think...  My son at this point in his life is very outspoken and says things that is really inappropriate. I am struggling on a daily bases with him to keep his room clean, take his medicine for his seizures and getting his homework done. So basically we are constantly butting hea...

I would love for everyone to have a happy and hug filled week. Just remember a simple smile can be contagious and spread quickly from one person to the next. It is the perfect epidemic.

Hi found this on Facebook and thought it was really fun. For me the first word that jumped out for me was FAMILY. This was very appropriate since my family is my main focus. I love spending time with my husband and kids and enjoy all the memories we share together. What word do you see? I look forwards to hearing from you.

Sometimes a touch can mean so much.  A gentle caress... A tender brush... It is all precious to me!!

Today and every day I am thankful for my daughter. She really is a blessing, full of life and has the ability to brighten any room she is in. Her sparking brown eyes are so trusting and while she is still 2 she still tries to show her independence. I love her smile, It always stays a while.. I love her touch, To me it means so much.. I love her grins, It is even there when she sings.. Sydney fills the room with laughter and joy, Even her pout is cute, especially when she wants a toy. She sat in the corner to show independence and demand her way, It looked so adorable I kissed her frown away. 

My husband was standing there chatting with a friend and had absolutely she was copying him. The funny thing is ... everything he said ... she said. Him.. "Yeah yeah I got that." (laugh) Syd.. "Yeah... dat..) (laugh) Him.. "No I will check on it later." Syd.. " gabble... later.." (laugh) Him.. "Okay bye." Syd.. "Bye" (laugh) I showed him the picture after he came off the phone and he laughed.

It is amazing how you can start the day and go about your normal routine and be  completely shaken up   and scared out of your mind. This being Thankful Thursday I have to say I am thankful to be alive!! If you have not yet heard about the drivers in Trinidad then you should. They are very reckless and inconsiderate... they do not care for anyone else on the road and their primal goal is to get to their next drop as quick as possible just to make another buck. It makes you think that your life was put at risk for just a few dollars!!! Basically I was heading on my normal route to work... with my son Dylan sitting beside me... and before I even know how... there was a car slamming to a complete stop infront of me... and another one being forced to a stop at the side of my car. This of course was caused my the Taxi Driver who, without caring for the oncoming traffic, pulled recklessly in front of the cars ahead of me and drove across 2 lanes to get ahead. Fortunately no ...

This was taken Down the Islands and though in Trinidad we do not experience Autumn like the rest of the world... this is my idea of our Autumn colors. Imagine waking up to this every morning!!!

Normally I am an avid reader. I would try to read as much as my hectic life would allow. I recently got enthralled in the Nightwalker Series by Jacquelyn Frank and found myself waking at 3am to try and finish one of her books. But there are times when reading is not the go to thing I want to do... the thing is... sometimes get bored of just reading words. I sometimes just want to lie back and watch TV. Well not TV exactly but movies I have collected and put aside to one day... watch. This is the one vice that allows be to focus on only one thing and indulge in another literally world visually. So I had what my husband called .... "A Kristen Stewart Weekend." I would not exactly say I intentionally picked Kristen Steward movies!! It's just that the movies I chose to watch had her as the main character. So yes I had a  KS movie night... but I enjoyed it throughly. In that I watched Snow White and the Huntsman... Then I watched New Moon.... Finally I looked...
