WW... Christmas Day.

Great fun... greats smiles .... great memories... My kids really enjoyed opening their presents and spending time with the family.  I hope everyone had a great Christmas and relaxing today :)  My sister's Christmas Village - over 200 pieces and lots of fun putting up.  The tree before the kids attacked :)  Jude loving the Chelsey golf cover he got from the kids. Dylan loving the amount of presents he got this year.. clearly he was a good boy :) My first ever Village piece I got from my friend.. it actually brought tears to my eyes ... sniff sniff  My angel wearing her Rapunzel gown with doll and phone. She was in her glee.   Sydney and her cousin Charlotte checking out the new car!!

School is Closed!!!

As a teacher I really look forward to this time of year. I would finally get a chance to enjoy the Christmas season with the kids... but I had a few things to scratch off m y 'to-do' list.  1. Dylan was involved in the school's Christmas Concert, so I had to shuffle being a teacher (behind the scenes) and a parent. 2. I spent most of the weekend ... wrapping presents to close friends and family... 3. I devoted the entire Saturday to making pastels with my family (Sorry no picture yet). The thing is ... it is a tradition in our family to make flour pastel s and not the corn paste ls that most of you know about. You might be thinking "FLOUR??" but it is something 3 generations o f my family grew u p eating and we are not pass ing it onto our forth generation. It was alot of work but worth it!!! So with that out of the way I get to spend some time reading, and allowing myself the opportunity to focus on myself. My little girl is in daycare ...

WW - Wise words and Worthy treasures.

Here are some words of wisdoms and pictures of a few personal treasures in my life. Sometimes its good to feed the soul ... to strength your faith in yourself so no-one can make you question your life's path. And there are some treasures that... by just looking at them helps you understand your worth.. because their presence makes you feel important.

Continuing on with Tradition...

Well for those who read about my accident last week would know I missed a Saturday of decorating trees at my family's homes. So this Saturday was a 2 for one visit. we had a lot to get through with, lots of liming, lots of food and lists of decorating.  So here are a few pictures of the end result.  My sister's tree went up first and we manage to do her gallons and a snowman family. And finally we did my mom's tree... which she decided to decorate in RED!! It really is great to spend time with the family and experience  the fun together. It makes the workload less and with all the laughter... things just gets done quicker.

After this week I need some laughter...

This is something my son would enjoy reading... Take a break and enjoy!!

Guardian Angel working Overtime!!

Saturday morning this occurred while I was on my way with the kids to my family's home in San Fernando. My car is the Blue Madza and my kids were in the back seat!! I had just stopped at a traffic light with 4 cars ahead of me, waiting for the lights to turn green, when the Green car smashed into me from behind.  All I can say is that we were all frightened by a loud bang from behind, and just as I turned my head to look at my kids in the back, I saw my car skidding on the wet road heading towards the car infront of me. There was no stopping and unfortunately my car struck the car infront of me :( From that point on there was alot of screaming from the kid behind, me trying to calm them, and me trying to get my husband on the phone. Even today I still cannot believe it happened. Clearly the woman who struck me from behind did not see me stopping along with the other cars, clearly she was distracted doing something else than focusing on the road. ...

When they smile... I smile

Just a gentle tug at the mouth is all it takes, To fill and make your heart break... To see their faces lit up with so much joy, And its them playing that brings smiles.. not a toy. They innocences of just lying in the grass, Makes me just want them to just stay there till the daylight lass... The cool ground beckons them to relax and stay, And there they lay just giggling and they play. What I would give to watch them like this all day, Because their smiles are precious in every way.
