Do's and Don't for 2013

For the new year I have come up with a plan to try and make my life less complicated. I want to make the best decisions possible for me and my family. I also have to make sure and stand my ground and not let others take advantage of me.

You see I am one of those people who try to help others and as time goes by I realize I am the one doing all the work and the other party doing nothing. This over time become a burden to me. Because in life I really believe people get what they deserve and they also have to earn respect and make the effort to help. If the other party is not doing anything, then I think I am going to get off this one way street... FAST!!

As for making the right decisions, both financial and personal, it has to benefit both me and my family. I am no longer going to throw caution to the wind. I am going to set a budget to provide financial stability (i.e. not give money away to the hairdresser who did not do a good job... and buy toys from stores that are over priced!!)

I also plan to focus on creating more smiles with the kids and doing things together with the family. This is important because when you do take a good look my kids are getting big fast :) My little girl is now demanding to feed herself and my son left me for the entire Christmas holiday to spend time with his grandmother and I was heart broken.

Furthermore for this year I plan on spending quality time blogging and enjoying other bloggers. You guys are a great bunch of people who have opened your minds, heart and soul to me and I really appreciate it. is I look forward to spending 2013 with you all. Cheers!!

In the end these 2 are the ones that matter the most. I love them unconditionally and hope to set a good example for them.

  12. Great plans for this new year! It's tough when you're the nice one, and everybody knows it and takes advantage (been there, done that). It's hard standing up for yourself sometimes when you are so nice by nature. You can do it!
Family definitely matters most, and your two kiddos are precious!!!

My Version of Fall.

I have been seeing on other blogs beautiful pictures of the ever changing and eye stimulating Fall season. Honestly living in Trinidad limits your experiences of the changing seasons and seeing how spring turns to summer to fall and then winter. All I have is endless summer greenery. All I have is the constant warm weather and lush green rain forests. So I have been living vicariously through other blog admiring the Fall pictures and sometimes questioning if it is really true. Then I had a beautiful sunny day yesterday and got to spend the day just lying on a beach and soaking in the sun. So I decided to give you all my version of Fall. And see what we get during the Fall Season. Enjoy.  I visited a beach house in Blanchisseuse Beach and it was attached to 3 different bays. It was fun just splashing in the waves, and fun exploring each bay in the warming sun. This was a bird's eye view of the bay that had clear green water and little watery caves to hide under. My son...

WW ... Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2

I went .... I saw .... I conquered :) Monday Evening: "Honey can you watch the kids tonight ... there is something VERY important I have to do?" "Sure Jill but what is it??" "You don't worry about that .... I will just be home around 7pm tonight!" It was FANTASTIC ... and the perfect end. Stephanie Meyer did an excellent job producing it. I will love this movie....

Guardian Angel working Overtime!!

Saturday morning this occurred while I was on my way with the kids to my family's home in San Fernando. My car is the Blue Madza and my kids were in the back seat!! I had just stopped at a traffic light with 4 cars ahead of me, waiting for the lights to turn green, when the Green car smashed into me from behind.  All I can say is that we were all frightened by a loud bang from behind, and just as I turned my head to look at my kids in the back, I saw my car skidding on the wet road heading towards the car infront of me. There was no stopping and unfortunately my car struck the car infront of me :( From that point on there was alot of screaming from the kid behind, me trying to calm them, and me trying to get my husband on the phone. Even today I still cannot believe it happened. Clearly the woman who struck me from behind did not see me stopping along with the other cars, clearly she was distracted doing something else than focusing on the road. ...
