Do you love to read?


The one thing I enjoy is reading. But it is not just reading that I enjoy ... it is being able to just put life's hectic demands aside and make time for myself. It puts me in a good mood and it allows me the chance to see the world or different worlds through someone else's eyes. 

When you have a chance, take up a book and read. Even better... read with your child ... it is amazing to see how their little eyes light up because you are sharing something special with them. Let them see their their own imaginary world can come to life with words. Inspire them.

    I do love to read and I agree that when you have a book in your lap you are making time for yourself. I also read to my daughter at night when we are going to bed. She loves it. Have a great day.

    I remember when my children were small and how their faces would light up when I'd read to them. They have been readers all through their childhood and now into their adult years. They take after me in that aspect. :)

My Version of Fall.

I have been seeing on other blogs beautiful pictures of the ever changing and eye stimulating Fall season. Honestly living in Trinidad limits your experiences of the changing seasons and seeing how spring turns to summer to fall and then winter. All I have is endless summer greenery. WW ... Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2

I went .... I saw .... I conquered :) Monday Evening: "Honey can you watch the kids tonight ... there is something VERY important I have to do?" "Sure Jill but what is it??" "You don't worry about that .... I will just be home around 7pm tonight!" It was FANTASTIC ... and the perfect end. Stephanie Meyer did an excellent job producing it. I will love this movie....

Guardian Angel working Overtime!!

Saturday morning this occurred while I was on my way with the kids to my family's home in San Fernando. My car is the Blue Madza and my kids were in the back seat!! I had just stopped at a traffic light with 4 cars ahead of me, waiting for the lights to turn green, when the Green car smashed into me from behind.  All I can say is that we were all frightened by a loud bang from behind, and just as I turned my head to look at my kids in the back, I saw my car skidding on the wet road heading towards the car infront of me. There was no stopping and unfortunately my car struck the car infront of me :( From that point on there was alot of screaming from the kid behind, me trying to calm them, and me trying to get my husband on the phone. Even today I still cannot believe it happened. Clearly the woman who struck me from behind did not see me stopping along with the other cars, clearly she was distracted doing something else than focusing on the road. ...
